A while ago I read a Hetalia fanfiction involving Canada and the nordics in which it was centred around Canada being found and reunited with the nordics.  I'm not going to delve into the history so you'll have to search it out yourself, but basically, this is what happened. Now, Hetalia: Axis Powers as we all know was created by a Japanese man and was first put out in Japanese.  This is fine, but in the English dub I have yet to hear them use a term such as Canada-san or Oniichan that was not spoken by Japan.
